Whitehawk Community Food Project
My new Brighton project is on the ancient Whitehawk Hill, at the heart of this established food growing project. This is an ambitious piece of work that will see a hut that is central to the growing site, transformed into a magnificent ceramic temple.
The first piece we’re making is a mandrake, a plant steeped in folklore, in unglazed, black and white cinca tiles with a rich, fruity border. The image is taken from a 1583 illustration, beautifully drawn up by @atmstreetart
